It was the ugly side of humanity that came crawling like maggots from your mouth when we last spoke

The bloated bellied

Fly ridden

Diseased half of the species

The part that makes apocalypse a welcomed term

It was the ugly

Like the hair on your back

The grunts of sex

Grotesque

The horrors that only wake you when you are too afraid to dream because you know life can set you up just to take you down and morning’s just another word for sorrow

The kind of ugly you forget after a few beers

The one you lose at the bottom of a jar of makeup and a pint of ice cream

The ugliest ugly I have ever seen

A mutated space of human life crippled by its own breaths

The ugly side of humanity

Gorged belly up between you and me

Author's Notes/Comments:

I am torn betwene singing 'you're an asshole, an asshole and allliiii-asshole" and putting something profoundly loving like "when the pain of staying the same out weighs the pain of change" in this comment...

Oh! I so love this line! "morning’s just another word for sorrow" What a perfect lover's lament! And it ties in so perfectly with the title, so Rabbit;-)
