I got a paper cut today
It was sharp and unexpected
Despite the fact that I knew the paper was there
Saw it approaching my finger in slow motion
I was still shocked when I felt a tinge of pain
And than I forgot
My hands got too busy doing mundane tasks on a mundane Monday
And I forgot
Until I settled down and was still
Until the moment I was all alone
Then it stung ever so slightly
This paper cut of mine
;-)
Hmmm....Why isn't this in recommended reads?!?!?!
>:)
because I wanted to see if you were payign attention ;)

:-D
<p>I usually like to read your poems once, a careful swallow, savor the flavor for a bit, come back for a few more sips, enjoy the nuance or bouquet, take in all it has to offer before swriling the glass and holding the last sip in anticipation...but this! Mmmmmmmm!!!! Excellent!!!!
:)
:) I now have this image of you stumbling drunk from my words into the arms of a beatiful women saying "will you kiss it better" ;)

i like how...
i like how you took something seemily ordinary and made it into something special by making it a metaphor. well done.
:)
thanks eyes
its fun to just write and let a poem show me it's own meaning rather than have a menaing designed for it..you know?
