Sometimes I cannot feel my own heart beating
Like it’s locked in an icebox under your stairs
Frozen beside a Christmas ham and the deer you killed last winter
I don’t think I really like him
I just try for the sake of forgetting you
Or maybe forgetting you is why I won’t let myself like him
I cannot feel my heart beating
Its gone cold
That’s what happened to us
A friendship on fire
We burnt out
After the dry ice leaked from my eyes
You froze

The Comments/Notes about "mostly the freezer" put a title on it and sumit - Exquisite - a summation - A (adjudicator's professional note - if the poem is really small and excellent, prof will read several times and it will stick - also reading so many very long submissions you win brownie points for an easy read) :D
so..
some kind of witty title like (still want my freezer?) or (why'd I buy this with you?) and then make the poem..I have an apartment sized freezer I need to get rid of...and apaprently some linger emotions...but mostly the freezer? lol
Much Love
Ashley
Yeah
Either of those titles rock. A bit late with the reply, but then you vanished. Glad to see you back - happy pre-fall. With admiration and xoxoxxo's ~allets~
