I would go back in time and go see the Bang Bang Club with you that Wednesday night in Toronto
I would take the two months spent screwing Aaron and let my feelings for him go instead
I would do my Landmark interview and when you said “I instantly had feelings for you” I would reach across the couch, put your face between my hands, and kiss you.
I would go back and never get that POF account; I would date you instead
If I had a time machine I would go and fix what I feel now were mistakes I made
And it would not help one bit
Thing is people are human
We are flawed
Imperfect
We make mistakes
And if I go back in time and change everything I wish I had done different
Other mistakes would take their place
So I am glad I do not have a time machine
Because without it we find compromise
Without it we learn to forgive each other
Without a time machine, we actually have a chance at this
