You were there and then I left and now you’re ever lost
I did this with my uncertainty
And now I am paying the cost
I wish I could show you how I have wanted you all along
But you can’t get inside me to see
So the doubt in you is strong
So it’s a chance I have to take, us meeting a fiery end
Because I know myself inside and out
And I don’t want to be just a friend
I want to be your partner, your comrade, your team
The one you always sleep beside
The one who makes you dream
So yes, maybe you will leave and it will hurt like no tomorrow
But that is a chance I have to take
Because not loving you is sorrow
