Feeling light and easy sure feels right.
If only for the briefest time
I can stop short, bask in the light
And not consider it a crime.
It seems to me we search out chances
To keep ourselves ever occupied,
But when come chances for fun and romances?
To obligations must we always be tied?
I simply need tangents to gallop and glide
Beyond limits of the everyday.
Of course I take stock in routine practice,
Living my life the typical way,
Yet I have to leave room for deviation;
In the nine to five I cannot stay.
I scale each mountain there is to climb
Breathing in parts of life so lovely,
Making the most of my Earthly time.
