There will be no holding back now.
The tides can carry me where they please.
I won't insist on asking how
As they carry me off in the breeze.
Resistance would be laughable at this point.
There will be no circumnavigating future travails
Nor a benevolent savior to anoint,
Only the freedom I have to make use of what avails.
Some say I'm daffy, destined for shore,
Another beachcomber to walk the sand,
Still I'd rather live a life in search of more
Amid swirling seas, far from the mainland.
That vast red sky may give cause to be wary
But this is absolutely necessary.
