So you think you have a bad dad?

Try having an alcoholic father.

One who cares more about his beer than he does you.

A father who stays out all night and rarely comes home.

And when he does, he beats you.

Imagine consoling your mother when she is crying over her broken marriage, and her broken life.

Try having a father that molests you.

Who is sickly turned on by his own child.

One who tells you to keep it a secret because he "loves" you so much.

One who waits until everyone is asleep so no one will know.

One who touches you, threatens you, and scares you.

Try never having a dad at all.

Imagine being a young child, and watching your dad die right before your eyes.

Try not to fall for the first low down guy that shows you attention, because you never witnessed how a real man behaves.

Try not feeling sad when you see other kids playing with their fathers.

Imagine never getting to know him, love him, or fall asleep in his arms.

Or maybe, maybe you didn't have either of your parents.

Imagine what that is like.

Just imagine how it could have been.

And be thankful for what you've got.
