Beautiful Earth

Tides roll over the rocks so high,

Like a giant they reach the sky.

Birds of paradise sing their song,

In the air where they belong.

Clouds of wonder glide the blue,

Each one a mystery, each one is new.

Scented Roses, red and pure,

Never have they been so sure.

Fish in schools beneath the waves,

Gently swim, not one of them slaves.

Light from the Sun shines so bright,

Giving us warmth, giving us sight.

Autumn leaves, golden red,

Fall with hope and joy to spread.

Born a miracle with Heaven’s smile,

Each one so complex yet versatile.

People walking the land so free,

Each one walks with misery.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem when I noticed that nobody really cares about being happy. Nobody shows their emotions. Everyone I see is always so miserable and lonesome.

I love your work the poem is beautiful and has so much meaning and is so heart felt. Rhyming poems can be so emotional as well as free verse but rhyming for me makes things flow easier. Keep up the awesome work you are awesome,
