Nations rise and fall,
Knowledge of it's activities lingers,
Even when they are gone,
These ancient empires.
History bears great records,
Nations now in pangs and fear,
This troubled heart of kings,
When the wise men and astrologers fail.
Ancient Egypt,Babylon,Roman empire etc.
None rescued by their wise.
But sought the counsel of few,
That hold the golden key of secrets.
The secret that brought a prisoner,
To the exalted office of a prime minister.
A shepherd boy to a field marshal
Lion's den captive,to the corridors of power.
The secret of the ages,
The secret of the brave,
The men of violence and force,
That hold the golden secret,
Tried in the furnace of this planet
The secret of the latter glory
The secret of light and fire
The secret of life.

I enjoyed your poem...I don't think
it's meant for us to know the secret
to the golden key...Sometimes I wonder..
