Homless in Winter

Being homeless in
The Winter
On this park bench
Or even behind this store
In...
This frigid cold
Air
Chews at my bones
Sending the shivers
All down my spine
I curl my body
To keep what little
Heat I have
But it seems not
Enough
As the bitter chill
Envelopes my whole
Body
My lips turn
A nice deep shade
Of purple
As my teeth
Chatter away
I can feel my body
Shaking
The winter cold
Has come
And the homless
Must find shelter
Or die frozen
Where they
Lay
