Somewhere along the way something got lost
Living through the game, before it all dissolved
Somewhere on this journey, all the madness came
Etching out the story, of what our love became

Shards of broken glass held up by shattered memories
Just remnants of the past where I thought we would always be
Inside a tragic game fulfilled by pure insanity
And now I've come to play, but you are nowhere to be seen

Somewhere in the night, I gave you all of me
Let down the walls inside, set inhibitions free
Somewhere in my mind, I let my heart follow blindly
Now, after all this time, I know the truth I couldn't see
That we were nothing more than what we are meant to be
