I think I thought too much
Not sure I said enough
But when I think about us
I realize I'm losing touch
With the hope of what I thought that you and I could be

I think I thought you might come back
Not sure why I held on to the past
Instead of looking ahead, I'm just dragging the line
And I'm not sure I ever thought that you were ever mine
Now, I'm thinking that one of us got left behind
