There was a time when, I never felt alone
There was a time when, I wasn't on my own

As days go by, the world changes without you
Life keeps going as time moves on
You never realize until it's way too late
That in this world you have a place

And when you feel like you just can't make it through
Remember, there's a place where you belong

There was a time when, I felt like I fit in
There was a time when, I held up my chin
There was a time, when I never felt alone
There was a time, when I wasn't on my own

Here, in this thing called life
Lies a place deep down inside
That no matter how you try
You can't seem to make subside
And as the tears well in your eyes
You let loose a subtle cry

And when you feel like you just can't make it through
Remember, there's a place where you belong

There was a time when, I know I felt alive
There was a time when, I didn't always cry
There was a time, when I never felt alone
There was a time, when I wasn't on my own

Sometimes you sit beside yourself and think
Why do I always make it through each day
Surviving with the memories
And living on despite the pain

And when you feel like giving in
Just know, you're not alone in this

There was a time when, I never thought I'd make it through
There was a time when, I felt the same as you
There was a time, when I thought I'd always be alone
But now, this time, I know I'm not on my own

So if you feel like breaking out
If you're sick of falling down
Then just stand up off that ground

If you feel like breaking free
If you sick of what you see
Then just reach out to me

And this will be the time when you're not fighting it alone
This will be the time when you're not standing on your own
