When the world passed by slowly
Time almost stood still
You stood in the shadows
Letting cold fuel your will
And I stood in the darkness
Waiting to be found
When the world kept on moving
Kept on going around
We prayed for some notice
That we weren't left out
But the world won't remember
When we've left it behind
No, the world won't remember
The day that we died

I held you in my memory
A dream I'd never find
While you danced through the ether
Climbing toward the sky
I followed your footsteps
Through all of the pain
I sent myself searching
For a way to regain
The peace and the safety
We once took in vain
As the shadows surrounded
All the places we've been
I searched the horizon
Hoped I'd see you again
