Today, I came across some brand new reverie
Found a taste of what I thought not to believe
And in that I found a way to be
Content with not finding my sanctity

I can be pretentious
And overly offensive
But, I choose tact when I'm defensive
Preferring civility to tension
But today, I found a brand new way to see
That I've been blind to what I've never seen

Today, I came across a brand new side of me
One that's not concerned what you choose to believe
I met a version of myself inside a dream
That showed me the meaning of being free
And I broke away
From yesterday
I changed the way
I let the world crash in on me

While everything is failing
I'm no longer the one flailing
Trying not to drown in fallacy
Ignoring what you call impossibility

Today, I found myself a brand new means
To chase off all the silence with my screams
Today, I found a brand new truth
That I am nothing more than I'm willing to do

Clean the bloodstained memories
With concocted versions of beliefs
Tear the skin from uncertainties
And break the bonds that cling to me
