Someone once asked me,
“What does an angel look like, do you know?
Do they all look like the stereotypical ones,
With curly blonde hair,
And clear blue eyes?”
My answer,
Was simple, and strong.
“No.”
You see I knew an angel,
And she was very beautiful and kind.
Some angels might,
They might look like the ones on TCV,
But not all angels,
Will look like that.
My angel friend,
She didn’t look like that.
No, she had long, shimmering black hair,
Cocoa brown eyes,
Quirky little armbands,
And an amazing smile.
And, she’s no longer an earth angel
And I feel a void,
Because she now has her wings;
She learned to fly.
We all had to let her go,
And say our goodbye….
For now
Because our angel awaits us with our wings.
My angel friend,
She didn’t look like that.
No, she had long, shimmering black hair,
Cocoa brown eyes,
Quirky little armbands,
And an amazing smile.
great task and the metaphor, and can visualize and feel the pretty smiles of her that you are talking to.. why i feel like you are talking to mirror and address to HER, that is looking in the mirror in front of your eyes.. hey good poetry, sweet poems and realistic approach, and above all the way you express things is heart touching ... bets of luck and happy smiles..in peace... respects for your comments and friendly concerns
