The last day on earth
The Last Day on Earth
The day finally had come after many years. For a long period of time we were living in extreme heat. For many years I witnessed the extinction of species, plants and animals due to the high temperatures and water crisis.
All of what was happening demonstrated that the scientists and astronomers from past years were telling the truth, the heat was becoming extreme. Most of the citizens were calm of what was happening, as global warming was common, but as years passed by, we were all hit by the surprise that it was all becoming true, we were about to receive a solar cataclysm, that had been predicted for some time but that no one had ever thought that it will become true.
We had a small amount of time for preparing for what was about to happen, but we were in time to find out a planet that can be the replace of the Earth, but now many lives will have to be sacrificed, because they were only a few that were declared “The Chosen Ones”, me and my love Celestia were among them. There wasn’t enough transportation to evacuate all, but I was one of the very ones to survive, and as if it wasn’t enough, to survive with my love, Celestia.
I had only a few hours before having to leave to another planet, so I decided to pass those moments with Celestia, we saw the cities national park, or at least what was left from it, the plants and the animals that were able to survive this high temperatures of our planet. We wanted to see those places were passed so much time and those places that were landmarks of our memory, but at the end, the only thing you could see was the red landscape produced by a red aurora that was surrounding the sky.
in our city, there was two space crafts that would send us to our new home planet, but due to a last minute surprise, me and Celestia had to travel in different ones, which meant that we had to be separated for some years until we reached our destiny. We really couldn’t believe that. We said farewell to our friends that had to stay and suffer a terrible destiny. Then Celestia and I kissed and embraced in order to go to our respective spacecraft, but in a positive way that we are survivors and we will be joining each other in our new home.
After entering the spacecraft, I saw an earthlike landscape inside there, in order to have a better stay, during a long time of space travel, but I really can’t have a good travel by being alone without my love and only with strange people. The time was out and the ship shuttled into space, and all the memories of my life in Earth were left in the planet.
Inside the spacecraft, the only thing I wanted to do, was to be able to see the great solar flare passing through a blue sphere out the window, recalling all the memories I had from my past. Now I had to focus on the future and being able to adapt to the artificial world inside the traveler for many years, but I will accept my destiny and just hope to be able Celestia in our new home.
