Nevermind

I had a love, and she caused me some grief
and I left her,
Which caused her grief
before she left me.

Leaving me with grief.

Nevermind that I was with her
before she left.
Nevermind that we both
knew our undying love.
Nevermind that we forgave
each other.

Nevermind that she left me
and grief is ever on my mind
and she is always there
and I miss her.

Waves of Tears

Waves of tears flow
at the high tide of the moment
of loss,
But ever so slowly ebb
with time,
And with each tide that follows
the flow subsides
until
Only the ebb remains
to mark the passing.
