Diamonds in the Rough
Staring at my computer
Mind spinning madly
Unable to focus
On the task at hand.
Words words words,
All the universe is words!
I just want it to stop
For a little while.
Pen set against paper
Moves without permission,
Scratching lines of poetry,
Something not done in years.
Hey, wasn't there a site
I used to visit a very long
Time ago, what was it called,
Postpoems? I think?
Check my login information,
See the singular sad
Poem left there from years
Ago, poor little Wreck.
Hesitantly post the new
Piece I've written,
Deciding on a name was
Relatively easy.
Much to my surprise
Someone commented on it,
Saying that they loved it.
(I'm still a little shy.)
Bolstered by courage but
Unable to find words adequate
Enough with which to reply,
I continued to write.
So thank you, dear Diamond,
For leaving kind comments
Behind on the poetry of
A girl unsure of her talent.
I'm always happy to encourage
I'm always happy to encourage another writer. However it is I who should be thanking you, you've inspired me and even taught me a few things. The honor is mine my dear poet and please don't stop posting your words are treasures to be valued. Sincerely, Diamond.

I feel I should say, "No, thank you", but I've no wish for it to keep cycling around endlessly. And I've no intention to stop writing anytime soon, between yourself and the esteemed Mam'selle Lady A, I have no lack of inspiration.
