Monster lurks in shadows light.
Consuming breath,
it hides.
Waiting to strike.
Gnarled teeth.
Needs to feed,
on open wounds left to bleed.
Tongue on skin,
evil grin.
Wicked,
depraved.
Still it hunts,
still it thrives.
The deceiver of the light.
In its hand life lays,
a double-edged blade.
Blood soaked,
fear stained.
Still it seeks,
still it hides.
Still it lurks in shadows light.
Masked by identity,
screaming words of insanity.
Consuming breath.
It breathes,
warm air on my neck.
Dark reflections in a mirror.
Blind eyes can plainly see,
the evil that is lurking.
