If you feel you can’t remember,
Or would rather just dismiss,
The memories of your time with
Him, now all that you will miss.
Or maybe just believe, he hasn’t
Called in quite awhile.
Then find yourself, you’re calling
Him, and wipe away your smile.
You’ve spent all your nights
Crying’, and all your days alone;
Without him there beside you,
There’s no place to call home.
Maybe just forget him, forget when
You first met
How he had cried and you did answer,
And as now you wept.
But he is still your baby, and
Because of this you care.
And now that you have lost him
You cannot seem to bare.
The pain that’s felt inside you
That aching in your heart
The loneliness that’s found you
That’s tearing you apart.
If only you’d remember
Instead of just dismiss
The memories of your time with
Him, not all that you will miss.
Then maybe you would see
A side of life you never knew
And maybe you could see
How you had pushed and then he flew
Then maybe you could see
How he needs your help no more
And maybe find the strength
To open up another door.
