When I was younger I thought things would change,

that they would be different.

But everything is still the same.

Just not my age.

I used to think that things would get better,

but they just got worse.

I can't goto the movies without my mom throwing a fit.

My mom is in debt and I haven't got a job,

my 16 b-day isn't that far away.

But we can't afford to have my sweet 16.
