The Hole Remains

Folder:
Depression

I fell as if the joy
From my heart is gone.
Like it was placed there with the
care and kindness it needs.
Then it was ripped out tearing
a hole in my chest.

Left bleeding and raw,
I felt abandoned by love.
By that which I thought I was beginning to understand.
To deal with the pain I must endure
and carry on

In hope that one day,
one will come and place it back,
where it goes.
For I have stopped the bleeding,
But the Hole Remains.
