"kyle" (for my lil brother)

the wind blew me a whisper today

its beautiful breeze grabbed my attention

like it had something important to mention

but nothing was said

but something was known

the gentle flicker of air made me think of u

"when was the last time i went home"

with that question lingering on my lips

i reached for my cell phone



i called to see if u

wanted to go out and hang

to have some fun and maybe eat out

i know u like lucky chang

but dad said u where a sleep in your bed

so i came over instead

just to say goodnight

so i'd feel better tonight

when i lay down my head





i entered your room

and kissed you on your cheek

your 7 years old, so young, so meek

my best friend, my brother, my lil creep

then with out making a peep

i crept into my car and drove home to sleep



as i lay in my bed and stare at my feet

i remember the wind

the one thing i never thought i would meet

that would make me miss u

as well as cool away the heat

what a wonderful treat



so as i drift of into a wind of my own

i thank mother nature for all that is here

and every seed she has sown

with out the Earth's little touches

my happiness would be blown

thank u so much wind

for brining me home
