Many times we've shared together,

As good friends often do.

Many days of laughter and tears,

And, yes, sometimes anger too.

We've known each other for just a short time,

But it seems like years and years.

I've cheered you up when you were sad,

And you've wiped away my tears.



In so many ways, we're exactly alike,

Yet, often, we're like night and day.

I've often wondered what you would do,

If I would turn to you and say,

"By the way, I had a dream last night,"

"And in it you held me near."

"We made love and held each other, oh, so tight,"

"Until the sun appeared."



It's funny that we are very close,

And always have great fun.

There aren't any secrets we don't share.

Well...at least, except for just this one.

I'm scared to death of letting you know

For fear of what you'd say.

I only know that I love you more

With each and every day.



I think about you constantly.

I watch you when you're not aware.

It amazes me that you can't see

How very much I care.

You'd be surprised at the emotions that I feel.

You'd never guess what you would find,

If only you'd look deep into my eyes

And Honey, just read my mind.
