Enraptured,

he watches her breathe,

softly stroking sweet inspiration on warm velvet.

Dormant embers stir flickering pinpoints of light,

as whispered sonnets coax a smile

from her beloved lips.



Hearkened by impassioned heart,

Melted gold meets aroused azure

in soul-deep response;

Silent gazes of fervent ardor

transcribe urgent epistles of profound emotion,

promised in a second’s infinity.



Fingertips meet in transcended space

of measured heartbeats and bated breaths;

Vows of undying devotion encompassed

in a simple touch;

Bittersweetly exchanged traces

of eternal love unspoken.



Luna soars as Sol kneels

troth pledged forever to his lady moon.

She bids him goodnight with a kiss,

crooning poignant lullabies of love’s sweetest dream

as she waits in faithful vigil

for her sun to rise once more.
