" From Such Pain Is Beauty Born " (For Raminastar)

Pain can be the foundation of friendship
that exists between two kindred souls,
Shared histories of agonies
heartaches in-common that unfold,

In any form that pain is shared,
whether in music, voice or rhyme,
It can bridge the obstacles in life
over distance, space and time,

For some Poets each word is wrenching
behind each verse a memory torn,
To raminastar and raven hair
from such pain is beauty born,....

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem was inspired by shared comments and connection I have had with raminastar. She understands the pain I have felt and shown in my poetry as I have in hers. She is very talented and I am honored to have had her collaboration, input, and advice in this poem. Thank you, raminastar, for your understanding and friendship......Huggles,,, Lisa

Huggles right back at cha friend!

Raven_hair- do not be modest you wrote this whole thing! Your talent is far surpassing that of many and I am honored to have you as my friend. I think that with your input I may become a better writer :). I was so tickled when you asked me to read this, you have no idea!

Now on to what I have to say about the poem~
Every line of this poem speaks to me, it is in every circumstance that I have ever known that pain gives birth to life, the life found in new friendships. Bonds that are closer than those that were found before because there is a common hurt a common torture that you have endured. Those torments may be decades, or moments apart but they are shared..

The sanctuaries that we turn to are definately bridges that help us cross over the most turbulent of waters..

I have written two books that I have not published yet, one is called "From the walls of my sanctuary" It is this pain that is etched into those walls.. the echos of yesterday and the fears of tomorrow. I am so thankful that as I move forward I will have your understanding and friendship. A friendship that wont read my words and judge me, this ill of me or childish. A friendship like that of Poppy.. who reads.. and reaches out, arms wide open (figuratively speaking) unbridled by prejudice or selfishness.. just sheer friendship. Thank you so much!

To raminastar

As you well know inspiration can come from anywhere, and I have been fortunate getting to know you and sharing the understanding of how positivity can come from pain...There is such comfort when people can be drawn together simply because of a common understanding of thought and feelings. How we can vent and express,, release ourselves from the chains that have been the burdens in our lives through Poetry..So, this poem was meant to thank you, for your friendship and your ability to *inspire* what was once a stranger,,, me......Hugglessss.... raven hair
