You took my heart and for a moment

I felt the blood pulsing within,

and then I heard a roaring thunder

as it began to beat again,



You took the softness in my soul

that cringed in darkness to the light,

and for a moment I was complete

as your embrace held me tight,



the days were all filled with laughter

the nights were all filled with fire,

I felt like I was finally breathing

and drowning in my hearts desire,



but like a comet burning brightly

it came fast and lit the sky,

and then it fell just as quickly

from the stars only to die



and so I sit sifting through ashes

I hear no thunder find no heartbeat

and I lie lost and longing only

for a moment to be complete,.......
