you wanted me to thank the moon

for blessing me with a man like you

now I thank you for leaving me

because it made me,believe in me

sometimes on cold and lonely nights

when the kids are all asleep

I tell myself I'll be alright

as long as I can keep

right on,believing in me

without you here deceiving me

I can touch reality

now that I believe in me

what you learn you don't forget

and I have learned the sun don't set

on what *you* might think of me

just as long as*I* believe in me

I did what I had to do

to get over what you put me through

I got over how you treated me

and how you no longer needed me

I looked down deep into my soul

and found the strength to let you go

by letting my own love go free

I found someone who believes in me

Yes,,,I believe in me

without you here deceiving me

I can touch reality

because now,,I believe in me

What you learn,,you don't forget

on what anyone might think of me
