Strength

You talk happily,

As if this chatting isnt just mercy.

You speak lovingly,

Maybe I should be hard?

You have known me so long,

Yet all you see is hardness.

You have been convinced that my baggage

Wont lead to resemblence,

That my hurt

Just might feel good to you.

That my soul,

Just might exist.

We both know

You could buy me.

But that just isnt what strength is to you.

Yet again, like a lot of the peoples' poetry on this website, that took awhile for me to process through my little mind. I sorta think I understood the concept of the poem, and if i was right, then I understand the way that you feel. Good poem :)
