Summer breeze ocean’s scenes
Gilded dreams
Sandy holiday
Endless evenings
Everything is golden
Everything is turquoise blue
Nothing is grey
Nothing to lose
Knew her from school
One look and acted the fool
Sea grass waves as we walked passed the dunes
Always felt life is forever, always June
Waves dancing below moon lit shore
We walked and talked forever more
The sun is sherbet bright
The sand is blanket warm
Sandy toes hot pavement roads
Stay with me please
Just don’t say good night
Not for a night not just for pleasure
Please stay with me not a day but forever
We met again on a deck
We were awkward as heck
Seems like life began
Seems life will never end
She said, “I’ll butter your toast, I’ll give you hope
I’ll make the bed, I’ll give you head”
Gilded dreams, auratus themes
I see our future together
I see a future forever
Despite all the censors
Two kids and a dog
Too be honest, nothing more
Please stay with me
Please lay with me
Not for a night not just for pleasure
Please stay with me not a day but forever
The wedding confirmed our oneness, our grand intent
You looked at me and melted into lost content
You stayed beyond the mornings dew
The vision came oh so beautifully true
Everything is golden
Everything is turquoise blue
Nothing is grey
Nothing to lose
We made mistakes, we failed to communicate, lost contempt
Tempers flared without regret
Wrongs yes I made but stay
If not for me but for life’s dulce
Please stay with me
Please obey with me
Not for a night not just for pleasure
Please stay with me not a day but forever
Time has come and gone
The kids have grown and gone
But we still have each other
We still have a day and another
Everything is golden
Everything is turquoise blue
Nothing is grey
Nothing to lose
Doctors said nothing can be done
You suffer so
Please stay with me don’t go
Sickness will never keep us apart
We’ll have time for another day in heaven’s eternity but not yet, my sweetheart
Please stay with me
Please pray with me
Not for a night not just for pleasure
Please stay with me just one more day
For we’ll have tomorrow’s forever in heaven
She thought, “Seems that time melts away so quickly
Seems like life drifts away so quietly”
I sung her one last song, “the rain came down it came
down so hard
I sucked it all in
I sucked it to my gut
Until the sun burst shining through and we both knew it to be new”
So lonely are the nights
So long the days
Harken to the darkness
Darkness doesn’t rule
But light will eventually come shining through
I prayed, “I have seen your face a thousand times in dreams that shine
May I see your face true a million more in heaven blue”
This is beautiful and well
This is a beautiful and well organized love poem. I am particularly impressed with the line describing the sun as sherbet bright: wow!, what a brilliant comparison. I have been enjoying sherbet for over half a century, and have never thought of it as a source of poetic description--and I feel like a silly fool for missing that, So I applaud your poem for its verbal excellence and emotional candor.
