Goodbye Mister Sutton

Back in the sixties you starred in Gomer Pyle.

Jim Nabors quite often got you riled.

Those shows were funny and nifty.

You were far too young when you died at fifty.

You had a temper and you were loud but that's why people loved you.

Millions of people have watched your shows and future generations will enjoy them too.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Dedicated to Frank Sutton who died June 28, 1974. He starred as Sergeant Carter.

I think it's great you remember Frank Sutton 33 years after he died and let the public know his character in Gomer Pyle. I remember the show well myself.I'm sure the present generation has never heard of Gomer Pyle unless they have seen reruns..
