Alone in the midst of chaos to wallow in my own despair

My only companionship falls to the shadows dancing in the darkness

Pure stubbornness demands super human strength

As the unbearable pain consumes all that I have left to give

Here in the silence each breath becomes ever so cumbersome

Excruciating pain pulsates through my veins like a plague

And even the desire to eat has fled me

Will the hole in my womb heal or shall it forever restrict my heart

Watching as the blood drips from the stitches in my arm reality sets in

And treacherous tears burn slowly down my cheeks
