Do you know..

There have been so many times,

That you have stopped the spinning of the earth,

As you looked deep into my eyes



And perhaps,

You may know just the same,

How you hold the preeminence of gravity in place

As your lips utter forth sweet whispers of my name



And oh,

How you calm the rage of the sea

As her treacherous waves destroy the silence

In the halls of my sanity



It is your essence though,

And how it brings to me such hope,

While I wade far off in the deep

Barely staying afloat





And though,

My fears have kept me from true sight,

You are the reason that I breathe,

You are my life
