My father, the greatest hero,
The man who created me with strength,
The one who always deep inside knew me,
No matter the mask that I portrayed,
Things were grim and rough at times,
But, daddy he stood strong,
And when it came to discipline,
We knew when we'd done wrong.
But daddy harbored a great sadness,
Intense loneliness that consumed,
It killed me growing up you see,
Because I always knew.
Now the years have become many,
And my daddy's getting grey,
With joy he's found his life's companion,
And a happiness that will stay.
Her name is Nancy she wrote my daddy,
She told him how I was,
Unorganized a youthful mess,
Through this they fell in love.
His world has become brighter,
I hear completeness in his tone,
And now I too can have peace,
Because my daddy's not alone.
That was beautiful... To truly love someone their happiness becomes yours. Through your own trials and tribulations you are happy for others to me that is truly special.
