Fake
It's hard to fake happiness to make another smile,
And yet it is all I seem to do,
But whenever I break, just that once in a while,
You make me feel as if it's only you,
You're not alone now, you know that I'll stay here,
No matter what people do or what they say,
But you still seem to falter, still seem to fear,
You won't go on living after this day,
And now I'm faking everything just to make things alright,
But I cannot bear it any more,
You still mean a lot to me, you still make my soul take flight,
But no more of this pain I can endure,
Won't you let me live my life and be happy and free?
Let me live it the way that I will?
Because in due time, It will become obvious to see,
That you have a place in my life still.
