Gathering the stars

to scatter in our sky

you lift me to the moon

sit me there on high

and you smile up at me

I see the light in your eyes

my lips tremble to touch yours

hands reach for you to rise

and yet you stay there looking

looking up at me

I feel my heart breaking

long with you to be

but I'll stay here seated

until you journey on our star

and I'll wait here smiling

watching you from afar.
