adria

Folder:
primitive

her voice sits in her throat

for who would listen

adria, they don't know you

the poster children of this world

they can't begin to comprehend

the roses within

the thorns block their sight

Though short, in "adria", Jessica, powerfully; but paradoxically explores our human predicament and reality as we journey through life: Hear Jessica: "they can't begin to comprehend the roses within the thorns block their sight" Indeed, Jessica, even roses have thorns. And we can loose sight of their beauty and sweet, refreshing fragrance, if we let the thorns block our view. That's why we must be humane enough to love and care for the Adrias of this world -: our fellow human beings living in the shadows. As Jessica aptly puts it: "the poster children of this world" Clearly powerful, Jessica, yet subtle lines. God bless you, Jessica, for letting us know "adria"!
