He Was Special

Just Life

She sang a long song

profound in sound

that made men sin

and knees to bend

correct she wrecked many

a home because she honed

the skills to clone

a fantasy or two

and made wishes come true

until a man that played a hand

she couldn't understand

he wasn't moved by her grooves

& his ails she failed to soothe

He saw her for the woman she was

which caused her to pause

she wanted to know more

of the man behind the name

because he wasn't the same

causing her to change

and think about who she really was

Very well written piece. Thought provoking. Loved it. This too is a masterpiece. Can I have it? It sounds like something I would write. :)

Damn!!! This is some off the hook truth tellin!!!! My husband had a similar effect on me and made me pause and re evaluate all of the games I was so fond of playin, take a hard look at my self, realize that he loved me for the person I was inside, for once, the packaging didn't matter, for once, I did not have to run to the bathroom and cake on makeup in the morning for fear that my 'picture perfect package' would be discovered as a false front. He made me feel my own natural beauty, freed me of all the years that had warped my world before. This poem really spoke to me and I was feelin you probably on more levels than this poem was even intended to have, Damn! I gleaned a lot from this one and LOVED it! MMmmuAH!!! P.S. you have been on fire with all of those haikus!!! :-) P.S.S. Yes that post on my page was indeed meant like you thought, covered in a roundabout disguise, you are quite intuitive :-) Hee hee Love Ya!!!
