Here we go again
different suit
same sermon
I think I've figured out
church ain't about
sav'n souls but about
how much clout
you got
who got
we got
Naw! He got
stand'n up there with that
bright red Gorden Gartrel suit
& his pink Detroit City
Alligator shoes
So fresh So clean
bling bling'n
choir sing'n
& I'm cry'n
know'n I can't get no
chicken dinner after service
if I put my last 5 bill in this
offering dish
the 1st offering was cool I gotta
give my tithe for all the Lord has done
but then there were the offerings for
the mortage, new carpet, & the building fund
I can't forget the offering for the new bus
God forgive me but they make me wanna cuss
cuz they know that ain't a new bus
but an old van
with only two seats with no air,
and no heat
the dogone horn don't even beep
Its real funny, folks put money in that
offering every Sunday
& the pastor just bought a brand new
Cadillac Escalade
Denial is one of the most common mental disorders in humanity. We love lies, and we love to be lied to; only those who dare to take off the shades of imposed perception and open their eyes wide without blinking, to see "what is" have the power to change, solve, , heal. Your eyes are wide open, you see what others see but pretend they don't know. Denial.
P.S. I am still waiting for your respose to what I wrote.

Once I taught at a Christian School for $25 per week so our church could have a really good place for the children to learn without drugs, sex, etc. We teachers struggled to survive making that pittance. Our husbands kept the bills paid and we were going in the hole. You know what that preacher did? At Christmas time we had $11, 000 in the school fund and all the bills were paid so the principal said, "Let's divide that money equally by the teachers and give thes ladies a bonus! They sacrifice everyday to keep this school going, so let's give them a bonus!" The preacher went out and had carpet put all through the school the next day and we all got around $25 each as a bonus instead of the hundreds we would have gotten. He lived in a $250,000 home that the church had bought and GIVEN to him outright. Yet, he begrudged us a little break at Christmas. I can't tell you how that hurt my feelings.
I dont' go to that church anymore, and the pastor I have now never asks for a thing that he isn't willing to give himself. He even does the work on the church building. There are good men of God out there. It's just so sad that there are those like we both have met as well. This really hit home. You did a great job.
