& there you were all the time

you were so close but yet so far

not until I was in your presence

did I notice your majestic beauty

features of a queen hidden softly

under the light of the night

not until we danced did I

notice your soft touch

not until we talked did I

notice the sensuality of your tone

not until we hugged did I notice

your warm embrace

not until we kissed did I
