Mr. Piano man, Piano man

play me a song

play it long

play it strong

delight me with your sounds

move me with the pound

of your hands on the keys

don't tease

just please

my ears with your melody

as my spirit sings in harmony

you have a gift God has given

like the spirit of Beethoven has risen

don't need no drums, guitar, or strings

sista sit down we don't need you to sing

we don't need no horns to blow

we just need you to go

need you to show

how you tickle that white/black piano

you don't need no music sheets

freestyle to your own beat

stomp your feet

melodies bringing sinners in off the streets

you play so good you could make

a deaf man move

to the sound of your groove

When you play you make people think

they sit and stare without a blink

and wonder who is this man who plays

this sound of ecstasy

how can anyone play this good how can

this be

you make men jealous, furious, and mad

you make them wish they had what you have

women love the music you play

they often wish they could be your laday

Sometimes I can't take the sound that enters

my ears

you play so good you bring me to tears

make the chords dance

with the rhythm of your hands

play it strong

play it long

play me a song

I really like this poem. I've played the piano for 13 years. I love it when people express their love for music. Do you play?
