Is it wrong for the Asian man

who comes from another land

to set up shop in our neighborhoods

and sell to us our own goods

I know the dollar is all he cares about

it doesn't matter because his business

still gets much clout

we always complain that black owned

stores prices are too high

So what do we do?

We go to the Asians and buy

not knowing every time we do this

it hurts our black business

the Asians can't even use their

own products

but we keep buying from them like idiots

if we would stop being blinded

with thoughts of greed

then we could see our people are in need

we need to give our dollars

to our people the ones who care

so we can stimulate our economy

and get off welfare

if we had more black business

we would have more black jobs

then the feeling of a grip in

our pockets wouldn't feel so odd

I don't blame the Asian man

who came from another land

I blame u and I the black woman

and man

the support of our people is

absolutely necessary

for our economic survival in this country

As a black woman and business owner, I'm feeling this one, DEEP! And I will feel it much deeper during the holiday season. I've always thought about this, but I've never had it broken down poetically. Wonderful job! Continue to roam the world and break the truth down to us with your poetic style. Much, much love on this piece.
