I thought Sunday was supposed
to be a day for family
but when I get to church the pastor
act like he don't want to leave
I wake up and go from about 9 to 3
& every 1/2 hour I have to empty
my pocket for another offering
I understand you are supposed
to give a tithe unto God
but they act like a brotha got a
high paying job
when the church has business meetings
to show how the money is being kept
all I find out is the church is deeper
in debt
the older I get the more it makes sense
that the church is nothing more than
a business
Why doesn't the preacher ever say anything
happy or uplifting?
The only was the congregation is moved is
when he is talking 'bout hell or shouting
Why is everyone so concerned with what I wear?
I'm pretty sure the Lawd don't care
we need to get back to that religion in the sky
so the pastor ain't the only one gett'n a
piece of the pie
HAHAHAHA!!!! Yes! Plus, God
HAHAHAHA!!!! Yes! Plus, God isn't about money to the church. people have learned to praise their churches and forget their gods.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
Hopefully you have foubd a
Hopefully you have found a church focusing on providing the forgiveness of sins, rightly dividing Law and Gospel. That is what church is for.
Amen, brotha!
This is a quote "You see now only in part that the things before you, houses, churches, etc., are the outcome of man's limited thought. He has been dimly working out a spiritual idea. The spiritual idea is the only fact, and not the bricks and mortar. There is really only the spiritual conception of a home, a church, a road, and with the eye of faith you could see the real only, for I assure you again that the spiritual is the only real." "You are like children with your walls and partitions, your churches and chapels."
This is a very true poem, most of us don't know but church has become a business, your lucky to find a good church and pastor nowadays. Nice work.
