In The Lovely Quiet

Folder:
Teenage Dream

In the lovely quiet behind my eyes

I see the love I need, I need

So quietly, hopefully, can the noise be growing

Echoing back and forth

Whispering your name!

I feel the embers lighting up

And all the things worth knowing

Are sifting, descending to my heart

Where, finally, I’ve been going

Grab onto the moon as it flows by

And you’ll ride ‘cross the endless sky

From night to endless night

And dusk to endless dawn

And call, and call, sweet call for light

Love goes on and on

I applaud your use of active

I applaud your use of active verbs, of the "ing" ending for some of those verbs, and for building the poem up to that triumphant, hopeful, and celebratory final line.  This is an excellent poem.
