In the night that doesn't wait,
The Sun is asleep for good,
This appetite I can't sate,
Forgetting where I once stood,
Seething and menacing are you,
What do you take me for,
Because you arrived too soon,
My shadow this shadow door,
I spin on a lonely axis,
Counting the minutes hourly,
Here's six I count six,
Those six times forty,
Emboldened, I know I know,
It feels like a blanket,
Like a nap in the snow,
And the cold I thank it,
Take me back to where I was,
That place so familiar,
Back to what I lost,
All that was in here,
The buildings at nite,
Black fingers pointing up,
An accusatory sight,
They'll listen with any luck,
Patience or paranoia,
These are the lines I tread,
Like a snake in a tiolet,
Only one place left to sit,
Needle points and pockmarks,
Scientific ideas,
Post apocalyptic futureshock,
Smash the glowworm beekers,
The waves, they are the quiet ones,
I sunbathe, waiting for the coolness,
Splitting the horizones,
Waiting for the splitting atoms,
And guitar licks sustain,
The registers unlock,
A bass riff mellow refrain,
On my toneless rock,
The moon will crack open,
The stars will snuff it,
The mars will redden,
The earth will vomit,
My head spins, sideways at first,
Backwards downunder,
Now forwards,
Astroid belt clutter,
I peel open eyes, sound proof,
In a padded sunny room,
My parents are the tiles,
My friends in misty gloom,
And I shatter the safety,
The darkness soft-encloses,
Inside rainstreaked paintings,
Emotive acrobatic poses,
Simply a court jester,
A golden ball taunt,
Kiss me sister,
Kiss me in the dark,
Yet time does stand still,
The night goes sleepy-by,
The sun's burning rill,
Bright blue bow-tie,
And the chasers have stopped,
I just figured them out,
They knocked and knocked,
This there's no doubt,
Dawn brought orange-beams,
Fell asleep once again,
To crows crowing,
Fell asleep, in my dream,
Looked at my face in the window,
And the glass revealed nothing,
Streaking earth-toned rainbows,
And eyes so childish and trusting,
This world, a giant haunted house,
Hold me, hold me, dont release,
Your warmth, elephant to mouse,
I want to thank you yes please,
Birth out your running wearies,
And halt thy craven testimonies,
Be patient all, young berries,
In nature's hands she carries,
In the eyes it is seemed the whole world,
And in this I awoke upon a marble stair,
"Forget your worries over petty toil,"
This voice, and light, so fine and rare.
