What Light

Folder:
Love

(what light within shines)

Your visage echoes against

the backdrop of a warm summer

sunset and I could not have planned

so wonderful a memory to hold

Like the bit of hair a mother

holds preciously in a gold locket

It is a memory more beautiful than

the lillies of the fields or tulips

in bloom  And when I remember I do

so in a passionate reverie.  So

entranced am I that I cannot

possibly see how my minds eye

could seek to be at peace

anywhere but here.  I am

held tightly under your

spell. And you have

pierced the hard

shell that encases

the man within.

And I am helplessly,

hopelessly trapped

beside you across

the eons until

the sky glows

no more.
