For so many of my yesterdays,
are both melancholy and blue,
but the prize that has always remained,
are my memories of you.
I stand alone,a man in chains,
who's heart is always true.
And I'd give a lifetime worth of trials,
for just a day with you.
Noone knows the suffering,
that I've endured for truth,
and every second of every day,
I give gladly to you.
And when my life has run its course,
and the time for reckoning due,
there's nothing on Earth I wouldn't give
to share my last...with you.
