Prone you set
upon a flat surface
garbed in an assorted
array of coats.
I have chosen the one
with the white lacey collar
speckled with many pastels
of confetti.
Your curls are strategically
placed
Your crown of roses enhance
your face.
The twinkle of lights
reaching upward
Anticipating a wish to
be made.
Music and song accompany
the plans well laid.
Now's the time I
lower the flames
And, with a thin
metal blade
I will divvy you.
This is my day...
All I have to say...
is:
Where is my piece of cake?
